2022 WHRRI Drivers School - Students or Crew

Waterford Hills

About this event

Registration for Group 1 (Small Bore) is full at this time.  Therefore ALL future entries will be put on a wait list. This list will be reviewed as entries come in.  If there is space, you will be advised to go online and pay for the event.  As always, there always is a good chance of cancellations.  The sooner you are on the list, the better your chances are. Priority will be given to entrants that collect an SCCA or Waterford Hills  License.

Please be sure to register early, as the school reached capacity in 2021. Once we reach capacity, we must waitlist students. Should there be any cancellations, wait listed students will be entered on a first come first served basis.

2022 WHRRI/SCCA Competition Driver’s School

Thank you for your interest in the Waterford Hills Road Racing Inc. (WHRRI) Competition Driving School, the only SCCA Accredited School in the Great Lakes Division. This school has produced dozens of National Champions. The next one could be you!

The Competition Driving School is for individuals wishing to compete in “wheel-to-wheel” racing events sanctioned by WHRRI, the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), and other sanctioning organizations accepting the WHRRI and/or SCCA driving school permit.

The school consists of one day of Classroom instruction and two days of On-Track instruction. Students successfully completing the training will be presented with a Novice Competition Permit.

There are also two of open track days before the on track sessions to test your car and get some of the butterflies out before you hit the track at school.  Check on the MotorSportReg page under Open Track days for dates and registration.

Below you will find the schedule, requirements and registration information needed to register and participate in this nationally renowned Competition Driving School.

We hope to see you at the track, ready to take your first step or return into the world of wheel-to-wheel racing!

Sincerely,
Alejandro “Alex” Della Torre

Registration Information:
The registration process for the school is through the website MotorsportReg.com. The process is intuitive and gathers information such as:

  • Student Information (Name, Address, Phone, etc)
    • Permit/Membership Information (WHRRI, SCCA or none, etc)
    • Previous experience (This section is very important. Please be thorough as it assists in Student/Instructor pairing.)
  • Car Information (Make, Model, Car Number, Transponder Number, etc)
    • If you are renting a car and don’t know this info yet, you can put in "Rental" and select the class you would like to compete in with a car number.  Then you may edit this information as soon as you have secured a rental. Don't forget to correct the information as soon as possible as this, also, impacts your instructor assignment.
    • No sharing of cars for Drivers School

To begin the registration process click "Continue" to create an account. Then you can search MotorsportReg.com for ‘2022 WHRRI Drivers School’
